About Me
Eddie Thara M.D. is a board-certified hematology & oncology specialist with the Cancer & Blood Specialty Clinic in Long Beach, CA.
He received his medical degree from Touro University California and residency in internal medicine at Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California, LAC+USC Medical Center. Dr. Thara then completed a fellowship in hematology & medical oncology at USC Norris Cancer Center where he served as chief of the oncology fellowship program. He is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine, Hematology & Medical Oncology.
His research interests are in biological process of cancer development and hematologic disorders. His work has been presented at the American Society of Clinical Oncology and published in multiple peer-reviewed publications.
Dr. Thara is a loving husband and devoted father to two young girls. He earned a Bachelor of Art degree in music performance because of his love for music. As an active church member, he regularly serves during worship service as musician and music director. He values time with his wife and children, playing the guitar, basketball and going to the gym.
