About Me

Dennis S. Phillips, M.D. earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from Stanford University, California. He completed medical school at the University of Southern California School of Medicine in 1975 and successfully completed his residency at UCLA Harbor General Hospital in 1978. During his training Dr. Phillips was appointed to the Department of Pediatrics, Executive Committee from 1975-1978 and served as Chief Administrative Resident from 1977-1978.

Dr. Phillips served as Chief of the Department of Pediatrics at La Habra Community Hospital from 1979-1981. He has been a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatrics since 1979 and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics since 1980. He has been in private practice since 1978 and has authored over 50 papers/articles on pediatric healthcare and medicine, primary children's healthcare, preventive care and newborn growth and development.

Dennis was recently presented with a "Patient and Peer Satisfaction Award" by one of Orange County's top Medical Groups, Monarch Healthcare and was featured on Orange County Family Radio, discussing the topic "Keeping Kids Healthy during the Holidays." 

His philosophy of care is "I love the kids in my practice; I encourage them (and their parents!) to be the BEST that they can be." Dennis enjoys boxing in his spare time. He has been awarded the "Laguna Hills Little League Umpire of the Year." He is a father of seven and resides with his wife and family in Laguna Beach.
