David C Bunten, DO

David C. Bunten, D.O. is a Board-certified family medicine physician with 22 years of clinic-based experience. “I had an osteopathic physician care for me as a child, and he became a mentor that encouraged my choice of profession,” he notes. “Once in medical school, I was drawn to the diversity of patients and pathologies seen daily by family medicine practitioners, so I chose that as a residency.”

Dr. Bunten says he gets the most professional satisfaction when helping patients work through medical issues. 

“It’s important for my patients to know that I want to hear them out and understand their needs, even if it takes a few visits to get the full explanation. It is always rewarding to know that they are working towards better health."

Joining MemorialCare has special significance to Dr. Bunten. “I did my residency at Long Beach Memorial Medical Center, so joining Memorial Care Medical Group feels like I have come full circle with my career in family medicine,” he states.
