Christopher Woodson, M.D., is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon and sports medicine physician, and founder of Beach Orthopaedic Specialty Institute. Dr. Woodson attended the University of California at Los Angeles and graduated from the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California. He completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles and a sports medicine fellowship at Southern California Center for Sports Medicine in Long Beach.

Dr. Woodson specializes in Sports Medicine and Joint Preservation/Reconstruction and has a special interest in biologics, such as platelet-rich plasma (PRP), stem cells and amniotic tissues. He is an active member of the Academy of Othopaedic Surgeons and was recently named head Orthopaedic Team Physician for all Long Beach State University Athletics. He is also a member of the MemorialCare Joint Replacement Center at Long Beach Medical Center.
