About
Bonnie Jan, MD, received her medical degree from the University of Central Florida College of Medicine in Orlando, Florida and went on to complete her residency training for family medicine at Kaiser Permanente in Woodland Hills, California. Dr. Jan decided to pursue medicine after being introduced to Eastern medicine at a very young age through her family members. It was her desire to help those she cared about the most with their health issues by assuming an active role in bridging the cultural gap between Eastern medicine and Western medicine that led her to medicine. In medical school, she saw firsthand how family physicians played such an important role in defining the patient experience and found herself effortlessly drawn to the field.
I love that family medicine allows for so much variety and flexibility in practicing the art of medicine. Moreover, I love that the specialty provides physicians with the opportunity to address the physical, emotional, cultural, and spiritual needs of an individual.
Dr. Jan also enjoys being able to provide support and guidance to patients during their times of need and vulnerability. Being diagnosed with a medical condition can be frightening and overwhelming, but she is grateful for opportunities to help patients through these difficult times. She wants her patients to know that although she may not have the answers to every question, she will always do her best to find answers and provide her patients with the best care possible. Dr. Jan values patient autonomy and will strive to keep her patients actively involved in the decisions for their healthcare.
Dr. Jan grew up in Diamond Bar, California and speaks conversational Mandarin. Outside of medicine, her interests include spending time with friends and family, sightseeing, yoga, going on Target runs, and watching reality television.

Very Jan is kind and patient. She listens to me and that's important to me. She meets all my medical and medication needs. I drive 1hour 30 minutes just so I can see her as my doctor because she is well worth the drive. Other doctors I've seen since my move never met my medical needs nor listened to me. They were in too much of a hurry to get to their next patient. Dr Jan is the best. She knows I drive a long way, so she schedules all my tests the day I see her so I won't have to drive back another day.

The doctor just simply let me to wait for the blood lab, saying someone will call me, but I was not called or taken care of after one hour until I ask for help from the front desk, the experience of this first visit is not so good.

I am documenting my experience regarding continuity of care and prescription management.I was under Bonnie Jan’s care from approximately August 2024 through February 2025. Initially, my experience was positive while my insurance approvals were in place and prescriptions were processed without issue. However, once my insurance changed and prior authorizations (PAs) became necessary, the level of support and consistency in care declined significantly.There were repeated submissions for an incorrect medication that I did not have a treatment history with, which resulted in multiple denials. This delayed access to the appropriate medication and disrupted continuity of care.During this time, I actively advocated for myself to ensure the correct medication and authorizations were pursued. However, this was met with increasing resistance. I was ultimately transferred to another provider, and it became clear that my advocacy was perceived as being “difficult” rather than being addressed as part of patient-centered care.While a sample medication was provided at one point, this did not resolve the broader issue of maintaining continuity of an established and effective treatment plan. The focus shifted toward administrative limitations rather than ensuring consistent care.This experience marked the beginning of ongoing challenges in maintaining continuity of care across multiple providers. Patients should not be penalized for advocating for appropriate treatment, especially when prior authorizations are required as part of standard care processes.I would strongly encourage more accurate handling of authorizations, alignment with patient treatment history, and a more supportive approach to patient advocacy.

Dr. Bonnie Jan was amazing in the beginning--warm, attentive, and thorough. I genuinely felt hopeful under her care. But over time, that shifted. My care began to decline, communication became inconsistent, and essential follow-ups were missed.When I raised concerns about treatment delays and prescription access, I was ultimately told to find another physician instead of receiving support or resolution. That kind of dismissal was unexpected and disheartening, especially after such a strong start.I've since filed formal complaints to ensure accountability. I hope this feedback leads to reflection and improvement, because patients deserve consistency--not convenience-based care.

I have been a patient of Memorial Care for over 20 years along with my family too .. Dr Jan and her nurse seem to be in a super Rush when attending to me .. they have no interest in taking time to discuss the symptoms in detail , needless to say it takes forever to get an appointment ti see her .
