About
Bijan Movafegh-Jooryabi, DO studied medicine at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and went on to complete his internal medicine residency at Oakwood Hospital and Medical Center. The driving force for Dr. Jooryabi to become a physician was his father who had struggled with heart failure and emphysema for a good part of his adult years. This kindled Dr. Jooryabi's interest to pursue a field in medicine to help others medically.
I want my patients to know that I am always accessible to them. My greatest satisfaction at work comes from seeing patients improve and return to good health.
Dr. Jooryabi emigrated to United States from Iran at age 15 and started High School in Vestal New York. Outside of medicine, he enjoys playing soccer, tennis, fishing with his son, and singing canaries.
