Ben Nguyen, MD grew up in the Santa Ana/Costa Mesa area. “I chose a career in primary care because I wanted to contribute to the community by trying to improve everyone’s health,” he says. “I customize treatment plans with respect to each patient’s individual circumstances and preferences while still practicing evidence-based medicine.”
Dr. Nguyen gets the greatest satisfaction from his profession by forming long-term relationships with patients, and watching them make strides in improving their health. He speaks English, Spanish and Vietnamese, and is Board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.
In his spare time, Dr. Nguyen enjoys video games such as Dungeons & Dragons, and karaoke.

Dr Nguyen is by far the best Dr I’ve had. He has gone out of his way to help me. I’ve had ailments no other drs could diagnose, Dr Nguyen did his homework and helped address my issues and got a game plan that has been working for me. He also helped secure other appointments and helped guide me to other specialists that have had a hand in my recovery. Small things like that helped me get to the point I’m at now. 10/10. I should give him a lower score because booking an appointment is longer than usual. lol. Jk Doc the best!!

Very impressed with his background and his enthusiasm to provide whatever is needed. In the past my PCPs quickly referred me to specialists for endocrinology, cardiology & podiatry even though I wasn’t experiencing any issues that required these referrals. I appreciated the fact Dr Nguyen was adamant & confident that Dr Kumar or himself are fully able to handle any of these issues and will refer me to specialists when it is beyond his/her capabilities. This was very reassuring to see fewer doctors and only see specialists when it’s really needed.
