About Me
Bio Dr. Anthony Chyou is a board-certified, fellowship-trained interventional cardiologist with Optum in Long Beach.
His clinical interests include heart valve disease pathologies and septal defects that impair the hearts blood flow functions and working with multi-disciplinary teams to identify and provide individualized treatment based on the patient’s unique case.
He received his medical degree from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore and residency in internal medicine from Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (Penn Medicine) in Philadelphia. He then completed two fellowships in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology from New York-Presbyterian / Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York. Dr. Chyou is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, and interventional cardiology and member of the American College of Cardiology (ACC).
Dr. Chyou advocates educating & empowering his patients about their medical conditions so they can make the best health decisions. These include incorporating regular exercise, nutritious meals and stress reduction into their lifestyles.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Chyou prioritizes time with his family and enjoys cooking, running, and spending time outdoors.
