We came in with our 12 month old with concerns of possible ear infection or mumps. We feel that the visit was rushed probably only took her less than 2 minutes to check my baby and she went to ask if they have a swab available. I do understand that the urgent care does not carry the type of swab for the mumps but we feel like it was really rushed and we were told to go to the ER. I wanted to ask some questions for her but she left already. I asked the medical assistant but she was not too helpful at all. The medical assistant did not even go to our room to tell us that we have been discharged. We waited for awhile for her to come. If I did not ask the MA for the discharge papers, then the MA would have not printed it for us.

Was told to visit PCP in order to receive routine med recommended by Dr. Rodriguez, to help with diagnosis already on file. Told her that recently sched visit with PCP is not for another month and was recommended to go to urgent care for sooner appt. Med is needed for viral illness that is happening now, and affecting school attendance.

My experience at this urgent care started off very well. From the moment I walked in, the receptionist and intake nurse were both pleasant, professional, and showed excellent bedside manner. They made me feel comfortable and cared for, which I truly appreciated.However, my experience changed significantly once the doctor entered the room. She was cold, unengaged, and came across as if she were simply going through the motions. While she did resolve my medical issue and complete the necessary procedure, she lacked any sense of bedside manner. There was little to no acknowledgment of me as a person or patient—no response to my attempts to speak or engage, and no effort to read the room or adjust to my energy or discomfort.I understand that not all patients want conversation, and small talk isn’t a requirement. But at the very least, responding when a patient speaks and showing a bit of empathy goes a long way in healthcare. The doctor did her job clinically, but the interaction felt impersonal and dismissive, which left a negative impression on an otherwise smooth visit.

Felt disrespected by the lack of concern on whether I understood what was stated or not. Felt more of an inconvenience to the doctor than anything else. Wasn’t happy with the visit at all.

She was informed about the symptoms and she didn’t request any test (like in previous visits) no test to rule out strep throat or Covid. A quick prescription for an inhaler and let’s sweep this under the rug. At the end of the day she is the doctor just don’t know how much I can say I would trust her.
