Alma C Sanchez, MD

Alma C. Sanchez, MD grew up in California in a small farm town called Hollister. She decided at an early age that she wanted to go into medicine. “My father was really ill when I was growing up and it made me realize that health is the most important thing a person could have,” she says. “That drove me to want to become a doctor and help people to be and feel healthy.”

Dr. Sanchez is Board certified in Family Medicine and speaks Spanish fluently. 

I get the most professional satisfaction when my patients achieve their health care goals. I want my patients to know that their health goals are my priority.

In addition to receiving her medical degree from Tulane University, Dr. Sanchez also earned a Mater’s in Public Health with a concentration in global health and health systems. She is devoted to the practice of yoga and is a certified yoga instructor. In her off hours she says, “I also love being active outdoors whether it's walking, hiking, or paddle boarding.”
