Ali S Habib, DO

Ali Habib, DO, attended medical school at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine in Harlem, New York. He later went on to complete his residency in internal medicine at New York Medical College at Saint Michael’s Medical Center in Newark, New Jersey. Dr. Habib chose a career in medicine because of his strong desire to connect with patients and make a positive impact on their lives. He enjoys how internal medicine bridges the intellectual, problem-solving aspects of science with the compassionate warmth of human connection.

When Dr. Habib was in college, he attended a volunteer trip to South America and worked with a team of physicians in a rural village. The trip sparked his initial inspiration that became the start of his life-long journey in medicine. His mentors during his residency training were also vital in building his foundation and passion for learning medicine.

I am most satisfied when I can form a bond with my patients and their families to provide them with a measure of comfort when faced with the intimate challenges of their health. I want my patients to know I will be their advocate and voice for their health. Communication and patient advocacy are a top priority of mine and I will be readily available to address their problems. I strive every day to become better at my craft.

Dr. Habib grew up in East Brunswick, New Jersey and can speak Spanish, Urdu, and Hindi. Outside of medicine, Dr. Habib enjoys playing the electric guitar and saxophone, he also plays in a band and studied music in college. In addition, he is a huge Los Angeles Lakers fan and enjoys traveling to foreign countries to learn about new cultures, watching live music, creative writing, and working out.
