Alexander Burns, MD, chose Family Medicine because it allows him to build meaningful, long-term relationships with a diverse spectrum of patients across all stages of life. He values the specialty's emphasis on the prevention and management of chronic disease. Additionally, he is passionate about helping his patients improve their health and well-being, empowering them to live strong, enjoy the activities they love, and spend quality time with their families.

As a Long Beach native, Dr. Burns is excited to serve the community where he grew up. His philosophy is to treat every patient as a member of his own family by providing compassionate, evidence-based care in a welcoming environment. He is committed to staying current with the latest medical literature to ensure his patients receive the highest quality care. Dr. Burns is also pursuing board certification in Lifestyle Medicine. During residency, he received the Scholarship Award in recognition of completing his Master of Public Health degree with a focus on Preventive Medicine, as well as for his Quality Improvement project on screening and treatment for Alcohol Use Disorder.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Burns enjoys traveling, attending live music events, and staying active through outdoor activities such as hiking, kayaking, and swimming.
