Overview
“Cilostazol for Prevention of Recurrent Stroke Trial (Clarity)”
Researchers are studying whether adding cilostazol to standard stroke prevention treatment with aspirin or clopidogrel can reduce the risk of future stroke, heart attack, and cardiovascular death in people who recently experienced a non-cardioembolic ischemic stroke or high-risk TIA. Participants will receive either cilostazol or a placebo in addition to their usual treatment and will be followed for up to five years. Researchers will evaluate whether cilostazol improves long-term cardiovascular outcomes while maintaining an acceptable safety profile.
