In a rigorous assessment of 4,500 adult hospitals, U.S. News & World Report recognized MemorialCare Long Beach Medical Center as one of the Best Hospitals in the region and nationally for obstetrics and gynecology. Long Beach Medical Center was also ranked among the top five hospitals in Los Angeles County, the highest-ranking hospital in Greater Long Beach, and among the top 15 hospitals in California.
Best Hospitals rankings and ratings are designed to assist patients and doctors in making informed decisions about where to receive care for challenging health conditions and common elective procedures. Rankings are based largely on measures such as risk-adjusted survival, quality of nursing and other indicators.
