Orange Coast Medical Center, Saddleback Medical Center, and MemorialCare Medical Group Earn Top Spots

ORANGE COUNTY, Calif. – MemorialCare Orange Coast Medical Center and MemorialCare Saddleback Medical Center once again took the top two spots in the Best Hospital category and MemorialCare Medical Group placed in the top three for Best Medical Group category in The Orange County Register's Best of Orange County.

The Best of Orange County is an annual competition that asks readers of The Orange County Register to vote for their favorite Orange County services and places. For a fifth consecutive year, MemorialCare Orange Coast Medical Center achieved the top placement, and this is the eighth successive year it has appeared among Orange County’s top three hospitals.  MemorialCare Saddleback Medical Center has gained the top spot in three of the last eight years, and this year ranked No. 1. This year, Saddleback Medical Center Foundation placed in the top two in a new category – Best Charitable Organizations.

MemorialCare Medical Group was also ranked No. 3 in the competition, and its affiliated medical group, Edinger Medical Group, ranked No. 1. MemorialCare Medical Group has earned a spot in the top three in each of the five years The Orange County Register survey has included a medical group category.  

Similar results are consistently achieved by MemorialCare Long Beach Medical Center. Recently the Beachcomber publication’s Best of Long Beach competition resulted in a No. 1 ranking for Long Beach Medical Center. This is the 18th consecutive year Long Beach Medical Center has earned this distinction. MemorialCare Medical Group took the top spot for Best Medical Group and Best Urgent Care in this same contest. Readers of the Press Telegram have consistently ranked our Long Beach hospital among the very best, and this year, the Long Beach Post recognized Long Beach Medical Center as Best Healthcare Facility.
