US News & World Report 2018-19

In a rigorous assessment of more than 4,500 adult hospitals, U.S. News & World Report recognized MemorialCare’s Long Beach Medical Center, Orange Coast Medical Center in Fountain Valley and Saddleback Medical Center in Laguna Hills 20, times as “high performing” in several clinical categories. Additionally, Long Beach Medical Center and Orange Coast Medical Center were recognized as a “Best Hospital” in U.S News & World Report national rankings and appeared among the Top 10 Hospitals for Los Angeles Metro, which includes hospitals in Los Angeles and Orange counties.

The annual Best Hospitals rankings are designed to help patients make informed decisions about where to receive care for life-threatening conditions and common procedures. Scores are based on several factors, including outcomes, patient safety, patient experience and more.

This year, it received a national ranking for Orthopedics and “high-performance” rankings for Coronary Artery Bypass Surgery, Diabetes & Endocrinology, Congestive Heart Failure, Colon Cancer Surgery, Gastroenterology & GI Surgery, Geriatrics, Nephrology, Neurology & Neurosurgery, Pulmonology, Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm, Hip Replacement and Knee Replacement. It ranked among the Top 5 Hospitals in Los Angeles County. Top 8 Hospitals in Los Angeles and Orange counties and Top 14 Hospitals in California, and is the highest ranked hospital in Southern Los Angeles County.
