Annabelle-BraunMemorialCare Orange Coast Medical Center has named Annabelle Braun, DNP, MSN, RN, NE-BC, its new Chief Nursing Officer. Braun is responsible for quality, safety, patient care, and patient experience in service to the community. She will focus on the strategy for clinical nursing and nursing operations, leading and implementing innovative quality, safety and performance improvement initiatives to achieve superior clinical outcomes for Orange Coast. She will also collaborate with MemorialCare’s nursing leadership with the goal of enhancing nursing practice and clinical care across MemorialCare.

Braun has more than 20 years of nursing and leadership experience with a clinical background in critical care. She has held various leadership roles in the inpatient and outpatient setting, in both teaching and non-teaching healthcare organizations. Prior to her new appointment, Braun served as the Executive Director of Critical Care Services, Emergency/Trauma and Neuroscience Institute at Providence Mission Hospital. She also assisted in leading the organization in achieving advanced comprehensive stroke certification. Prior to joining Mission, Annabelle worked at Cedars Sinai Medical Center for over eight years as Associate Director of Neurosciences and Neuro Surgical ICU.

Braun received her Bachelor’s degree in nursing from Azusa Pacific University. She also has Master’s and Doctorate degree in nursing administration and practice from UCLA.
