About
Dr. Steven Yu is board certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology, and Medical Oncology. After graduating from Washington University in St. Louis with a bachelor’s degree in Economics and before attending medical school, Dr. Yu was vice president of a startup pharmaceutical company in Beijing, China. Dr. Yu then attended medical school at the Medical University of South Carolina where he had an opportunity to serve as a congressional health fellow in Washington, D.C. He then completed his residency in internal medicine and fellowship in Hematology/Oncology at the University of Southern California, Keck School of Medicine where he had numerous publications in prostate cancer, urothelial cancer, kidney cancer, cervical cancer, colorectal cancer, breast cancer, hematologic disorders, and received a research award in 2017. Many research abstracts he was involved with have been presented at the American Society of Clinical Oncology, European Society for Medical Oncology, and the San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium meetings. Dr. Yu also was a consultant for the Reuters News Organization.
Dr. Yu has a special interest in assisting in medical missions and has traveled to Port-au-Prince, Haiti after the devastating 2010 Haiti Earthquake and volunteered at children's hospitals in China.
