Kacey Cox, MD

Kacey Cox, MD, serves as the Medical Director of Newborn Services and works as a neonatal hospitalist at MemorialCare Miller Children’s & Women’s Hospital. She works collaboratively with neonatologists and obstetricians, attends high risk deliveries as a part of the resuscitation team, coordinates neonatal admissions and transports, rounds daily in the newborn nursery providing a family focused approach to well-baby care, and is skilled in circumcisions.

Dr. Cox earned her medical degree from the University of Nevada and completed her training at the University of California, Irvine (UCI)-Children's Hospital Orange County (CHOC) Pediatric Residency Program. Dr. Cox is board certified in General Pediatrics, is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and is a member of the California Association of Neonatologists.

Dr. Cox is actively involved in medical education, serving as an assistant clinical professor of pediatrics for UCI and UCLA medical students, Long Beach Family Medicine residents, and UC Irvine-CHOC Pediatric residents.

Dr. Cox is a member of the Perinatal Connections Team, providing antepartum consultation and coordination of care for families expecting a newborn with complex congenital conditions.

In the newborn nursery and neonatal intensive care unit, Dr. Cox is dedicated to supporting and educating parents through their journey from pregnancy into parenthood and to providing excellent up-to-date medical care for newborns.
