David T Shen, MD

As a board-certified family practitioner, Dr. Shen specializes in providing the highest level of quality routine and urgent medical care for the entire family. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry from the University of California, Riverside. From there, he attended Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee where he earned his medical degree in May of 1995. Dr. Shen then returned to Southern California for his three year Family Medicine residency training at University of Southern California (USC) LA County Hospital/Whittier Presbyterian Intercommunity Hospital, where he also served as Chief Resident. He worked for eight years in a busy family medicine/urgent care clinic caring for children and adults before beginning Live Well Family Medicine Center in September 2007.

Dr. Shen is a Diplomate of the American Board of Family Practice and a member of the California Academy of Family Practice and the American Medical Association.  His interest is providing highly personal care that goes beyond simply providing medications for illness. His nutritional culinary teaching series gives patients hands-on training on food for better living and health.
