Steven J Chacko, MD

Steven Chacko, MD was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada. He chose medicine as a career for its blend of science, critical thinking, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact. 

“My father’s experience with dialysis and a kidney transplant showed me how overwhelming serious illness can be and inspired me to become the kind of physician who brings clarity and coordination to complex situations. As a hospitalist, I value being at the center of that care—managing illness while advocating for patients. It's important to me that my patients know communication is a priority. I strive to explain things in a way that’s easy to understand, so they feel informed and actively involved in their care.”

Dr. Chacko says he has the most professional satisfaction when helping patients understand their illness and guiding them through recovery during a vulnerable time. “It’s incredibly rewarding to earn their trust and support them with clear, compassionate communication,” he says.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Chacko is passionate about exploring Southern California’s diverse food scene, working on tech projects like building PCs and setting up his home server, and traveling to learn about different cultures.
