AVIA, the leading digital transformation partner in healthcare, today announced that MemorialCare was recognized with the Overall Consumer Digital AVIAward for 2024. Additionally, MemorialCare received awards for Most Improved for Virtual Visits and the Ambient Documentation award for the second consecutive year. The AVIAwards program honors health systems at the forefront of leveraging digital capabilities to enhance operational efficiency, optimize care delivery, and improve patient engagement.

Recipients were selected based on the results of the 2024 AVIA State of Digital Transformation Report, which uses self-reported data from health systems to evaluate digital health adoption and impact over the 2024 calendar year. The awards recognize organizations demonstrating significant progress and measurable outcomes in digital health transformation.

"At MemorialCare, we believe that digital transformation is not just about adopting technology – it’s about creating a seamless, meaningful experience for every patient we serve. This recognition is significant as it compares us with dozens of other health systems across the country. It reflects the dedication of teams across our organization and our ability to make care more accessible, efficient, and personalized.”

MemorialCare secured the Overall Consumer Digital Award by demonstrating superior performance across key digital engagement metrics, including the highest percentages of ambulatory appointments available for online scheduling, ambulatory appointments scheduled online by patients, synchronous and asynchronous virtual visits (15% of their patients were seen by virtual visits), and self-service digital registration/check-in via website or mobile app. The Ambient Documentation category was awarded for their high percentage of ambulatory visits notated using Ambient Clinical Documentation, as well as their high percentage of providers using Ambient Clinical Documentation for ambulatory visits.

“The AVIAwards highlight the remarkable progress and innovation AVIA Members are driving in digital transformation," said Clay Holderman, CEO of AVIA. "We are proud to celebrate these leaders who are setting new standards in healthcare excellence and inspiring the future of digital health.”

The AVIAwards were announced at the AVIA Digital Innovation Leaders Forum in Chicago. This year’s Forum also featured updates on AVIA Nexus, which provides health systems with a unique opportunity to solve the most pressing business challenges. AVIA officially launched two Nexus platforms in February and already has 20 health systems and partners participating.
