Dr. Moon grew up in northern Virginia; her family having emigrated from South Korea. After earning her undergraduate degree at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia, she returned to South Korea to attend medical school and learn more about her heritage. Cris-crossing the globe again, Dr. Moon returned to the East Coast to complete her medical training in New York with additional medical rotations in Minnesota. She is excited to be moving to Southern California, her dream since high school.
“My parents were my greatest influence while growing up. They taught me by example to work hard for important causes, and have strong morals and compassion for others. I chose Family Medicine because I want to know and care for my patients through each stage of their lives. I focus on building trusting relationships, patient education, disease prevention, and how a person’s family can actually play a part in an individual’s health.”
When not in the office, Dr. Moon enjoys spending time with her family, volunteering at church and community activities, taking walks, listening to music, and trying different restaurants.
