Dr. Chen chose the field of Internal Medicine because he enjoys caring for his patients and helping them find answers to their health issues.
“I grew up fascinated by the Sherlock Holmes character, and the way author Sir Arthur Conan Doyle endowed the character with unique observation skills. Doyle also invented many investigative techniques for Sherlock that are still used by real-life, modern-day detectives. I like to solve problems and an Internal Medicine physician is like a medical detective using sophisticated tools, tests, knowledge and a hypothetical “magnifying glass” to discover medical clues and formulate solutions.”
Dr. Chen works with his patients to keep them healthy by focusing on preventative medicine, lifestyle choices, and educating them to know their important health numbers such as cholesterol and blood pressure. He not only enjoys caring for them, but he truly cares about them as well.
Away from the office, Dr. Chen enjoys working with computers, fruit tree gardening, and listening to country music.
