MyChart continues to evolve beyond a patient portal, becoming an important part of how MemorialCare helps patients stay informed, engaged and connected to their care teams.
Through recent and upcoming enhancements, MemorialCare is expanding how patients use MyChart before, during and after care. These updates are designed to make healthcare more convenient, improve access to information and support more proactive communication between patients and providers.
Personal Health Tool Integration
One recent enhancement allows patients to connect MemorialCare MyChart with personal health applications such as Apple Health and Google Fit/Health Connect. Through the MyChart blood pressure flowsheet order in Epic, patients can automatically submit blood pressure readings from their personal devices to Epic, supporting more timely clinical review and ongoing hypertension management. Patients can also link MemorialCare MyChart data to Apple Health, giving them a more complete picture of their health information.
These tools help support remote monitoring by allowing patients to share important health information from the apps and devices they already use. For care teams, access to patient-generated data, such as blood pressure readings, can help support chronic condition management between visits.
AI Imaging Summaries
MemorialCare is also piloting AI-generated imaging summaries in MyChart, designed to help patients better understand their imaging results. The feature went live in June for 11 pilot providers and has already been used by hundreds of patients. MemorialCare is an early adopter to go live with the feature, which is expected to launch more broadly with the September Epic upgrade.
Another new innovation will be MyChart Central, which will give patients an Epic ID and one login that works across linked MyChart accounts at participating organizations. This creates a more seamless experience for patients who receive care from multiple health systems and helps simplify account access and contact information updates.
MyChart Bedside
MyChart Bedside will help keep hospitalized patients informed and engaged by providing access to care team information, medications, education, care plans, discharge checklists and estimated discharge dates from their mobile devices. Bedside TV functionality is planned for pilot in November, with broader implementation expected in March 2027.
Future enhancements also include expanded language support with MyChart after-visit summaries and SMS messages becoming available in Chinese and Vietnamese. Additional digital tools, including pre-visit check-in capabilities through Hello Patient, will help patients complete more tasks before appointments, including forms, copays and check-in steps through their MyChart account.
Together, these enhancements reflect MemorialCare’s continued focus on using technology to make care more accessible, connected and patient-centered.
