Amandeep Bhalla, MD

Dr. Bhalla was born and raised in Southern California. He pursued his undergraduate studies at the University of Pennsylvania, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Anthropology. He returned to Los Angeles to attend medical school at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. Subsequently he did his internship and residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center.

After completing residency, Dr. Bhalla spent an additional year of fellowship training and research in the subspecialty of Spine Surgery at the Harvard Combined Spine Fellowship at both Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women’s Hospital. In Boston he developed his interests in degenerative conditions of the spine, adult deformity surgery, management of traumatic spinal injuries, and minimally invasive surgical techniques.

Dr. Bhalla practices in Long Beach with the Memorial Orthopaedic Surgical Group, and is on staff at Long Beach Memorial Medical Center and the Surgical Center of Long Beach. He is also on faculty at Harbor-Medical center and is an Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. He is an active member of the North American Spine Society (NASS) and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS).
