Join the trauma team from MemorialCare Long Beach Medical Center and Miller Children's & Women's Hospital for a free Stop the Bleed training in partnership with the Anthem Blue Cross Community Resource Center of North Long Beach.
Participants will learn how to recognize life-threatening bleeding and practice techniques that can help save a life before emergency responders arrive. Through hands-on instruction, attendees will gain practical skills and confidence to respond during an emergency.
Families will learn:
- How to recognize severe bleeding
- When and how to call 911
- Applying direct pressure
- Wound-packing techniques
- Proper tourniquet use
