Thank you for supporting our hospitals, MemorialCare Long Beach Medical Center and Miller Children's & Women's Hospital Long Beach, as we respond to the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic.
In honor of National Doctor's Day, please consider making a gift in honor of a physician in your life or one at Long Beach Medical Center or Miller Children's & Women's Hospital Long Beach. Your gift today will support the areas with greatest need at our hospitals and provide immediate compassionate care to any patient who comes through our doors.
On behalf of our patients and physicians, thank you in advance for your continued support.
We stand together. And together, we will overcome these difficult times.
Your help is needed! Currently, our hospitals are fundraising $200,000 to purchase supplies and a tent to place outside the ER in order to screen even more patients for COVID-19. Thank you for your support.
It takes a Village... to care for a child like Caleb.
Your support today will help us provide holistic outpatient care and support services to children and families all in one easy-to-access location – the Cherese Mari Laulhere Children’s Village to open next year.
After being diagnosed with a cancerous tumor, Caleb required follow-up care from a variety of specialists and appointments, often located all across Long Beach.
He underwent chemotherapy, two stem cell transplants, radiation, and immunotherapy. To help him cope with all his medical procedures he received psychological care to comfortably transition back into his elementary school and daily life.
When completed in 2021, the Children’s Village will be a cutting-edge new facility on our medical center campus that will provide a one-stop-shop approach to care. The impact of your philanthropic support will allow us to serve over 65,000 children each year, and we anticipate this population to continue to grow by 20 percent within the first five years of opening.
One of our greatest successes with the Children’s Village will be to help Caleb and his young peers get back to doing what they do best – being kids.
Your gift will help us move closer towards the completion of the Cherese Mari Laulhere Children's Village, a state-of-the-art facility to better serve children like Caleb who require specialty care from multiple specialists.Learn more about the forthcoming Cherese Mari Laulhere Children's Village.
Remember when you were in your twenties and felt invincible?
Life can be unpredictable at times and you never know what is around the next bend. Robert, age 24, appeared to be healthy. A heart attack is the last thing Robert expected at a such a young age.
The need for philanthropic support is now more critical than ever for leading hospitals like MemorialCare Long Beach Medical Center. The MemorialCare Heart & Vascular Institute has a long history of being on the cutting edge of advancements in cardiac care and with your support we can continue to invest in programs and state-of-the-art equipment enhancing your patient care experience.
After detailed X-rays to create a 3-D image of Robert’s heart, our cardiac specialist diagnosed Robert with a congenital heart defect.
Fortunately, about six weeks after his heart attack, Robert underwent open-heart surgery with Dr. Setty. He was under close supervision at our Cardiac Care Unit for 24 hours. By the second day, he was walking around the hospital. And three days after his surgery, Robert was able to go home.
Your gift is vital to continue providing urgent and life-saving care to a growing population of patients diagnosed with complex heart conditions like Robert’s.
Thank you in advance for your partnership in creating a healthier community – one heart at a time.
