What do my donations support?

Employee donations help fund patient programs, life-saving medical equipment, and important services at Long Beach Medical Center and Miller Children's & Women's Hospital Long Beach and are 100% tax-deductible.

What is Memorial Medical Center Foundation (MMCF)?

MMCF is the charitable organization whose sole purpose is to raise philanthropic, community support for - both our Long Beach hospitals - Long Beach Medical Center and Miller Children's & Women's.

How does someone become an employee donor?

There are two ways to donation: through payroll deductions or an outright contribution via, cash, check, or credit card. To sign up for payroll deduction or to make an outright donation, please visit our secure online donation form here.

Is there a minimum donation amount?

Payroll deductions must be a minimum of $1. There is no minimum for outright contributions.

How long do payroll deductions continue?

Payroll deductions are ongoing unless changed or stopped by the employee by contacting Memorial Medical Center Foundation at MMCF@memorialcare.org or calling (562) 933-4483.

Are employees required to donate?

Donations are made solely and completely by choice. As a nonprofit health system, our hospitals rely heavily on community support to invest in programs, equipment, and services. Our community begins with our thoughtful and generous employee donors.

Who do I contact to make changes on my payroll deduction?

Please contact Memorial Medical Center Foundation at MMCF@memorialcare.org or call (562) 933-4483, and we can make your request with payroll and confirm your wishes.

What are the opportunity drawing prizes for this year?

All MemorialCare employees and physicians that make a gift in support of our MemorialCare's Long Beach Medical Center and Miller Children's & Women's Hospital Long Beach before December 31, 2020 will automatically be entered for a chance to win one of the following:

  • Beats by Dr. Dre
  • iPad

When will the opportunity drawing take place?

We will hold the opportunity drawing in January, 2021. Winners are chosen at random.

Please encourage everyone to make a one-time donation.

Who is eligible to enter the opportunity drawing?

All MemorialCare employees who make a one-time donation or enroll in payroll deduction. Employees already enrolled in payroll deduction will be entered automatically.

Also, affiliated physicians who make a one-time donation of any size will be entered into the drawing.

How can I get an iGive Donor Pin?

MemorialCare employees are eligible to receive a donor pin in recognition of their philanthropic commitment and support to our Long Beach hospitals - Long Beach Medical Center and Miller Children's & Women's Hospital Long Beach.
