Long Beach Medical Center Foundation
Initiated in 2002, Memorial Medical Center Foundation's Partnerships in Excellence (PIE) program is dedicated to philanthropic support of life-saving medical equipment for patients and their families.
Each year, dedicated business leaders focus on critical equipment needs for diagnosis and ongoing care at Long Beach Medical Center. Members gather twice a year at mixers hosted by local businesses to learn how their support makes a difference to patients and their families. They hear firsthand testimonies from physicians and their patients.
Since inception, PIE members have raised more than $1 million. The following are just a few of the items being used in the diagnosis and treatment of patients all over our campus right now:
This year, Partnerships In Excellence will focus its philanthropic support on the purchase of Infant, Child, and Maternal simulators. These essential pieces of equipment offer realistic training to ensure medical teams are fully equipped and prepared to respond and treat critical cases thoroughly and expeditiously. The simulators feature realistic anatomy and functionality to help trainees perfect their skills and provide the best care. They allow medical students and staff to experience life-saving situations and enable teams to perform emergency procedures, such as defibrillation airway intervention.
We invite you to consider your place in this unique partnership. PIE membership is open to any business owner or executive who wants to support Long Beach Medical Center and Miller Children's & Women's Hospital Long Beach.
