Neurodegenerative disorders are diseases of the central nervous system and develop when cells of the central nervous system stop working or die. Many bodily functions are disrupted such as balance, movement, talking, breathing and heart function.

Neurointervention

Often, the first step in treating stroke is the administration of a clot-busting intravenous medication called tissue plasminogen activator (tPA). Typically administration must occur within three hours of symptom onset.
