Neuroscience Care Team

The Neuroscience Institute at Long Beach Memorial is home to certified neuroscience registered nurses (CNRN) who have demonstrated their dedication to professional development by passing the American Board of Neuroscience Nursing CNRN certification exam.

CNRNs have made a commitment to lifelong learning and to providing the latest, most effective patient care and safety to the patients in the neuro/stroke programs at Long Beach Memorial – making the neuroscience department one of the area's best.

In recognition of the quality care provided by the neuroscience care team and their commitment to following national guidelines set by the American Heart Association, American Stroke Association and Brain Attack Coalition, the stroke program at Long Beach Memorial is a dedicated stroke receiving center for Los Angeles County, has been named a Primary Stroke Center by Joint Commission and received the American Stroke Association's Get with the Guidelines – Stroke Gold Plus Performance Achievement Award.
