Dystonia is a neurological condition. People with dystonia – either on its own or as part of another condition – experience sustained or intermittent muscle contractions that cause abnormal postures, unusual repetitive movements, or both. Dystonia can be part of another disorder such as Parkinson’s disease or it can be a disorder of its own.
The Parkinson's and Movement Disorders Disease Program at Orange Coast Medical Center provides comprehensive, compassionate and timely treatment for patients with movement disorders with some of the top neurologists and neurosurgeons in Orange County.
