The Lactation Clinic empowers women with lactation education to improve the health of mothers and babies. Services are provided by board-certified registered nurse lactation consultants who have advanced training in breastfeeding management. All lactations consultants are experienced in counseling, teaching and problem solving with latching or other breast feeding issues for breastfeeding mothers.
Essentials Mother/Baby Store is located in the BirthCare Center on the 2nd Floor of Miller Children’s. The store is stocked with many breastfeeding products such as numerous types of breast pumps, special breastfeeding bras, baby clothes, breast shells, nursing covers, pillows, how-to guides and much more. Breast pump rentals also are available
Essentials Mother/Baby Store is open Tuesdays and Thursdays, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Appointments are available and can be made any week day.
At MemorialCare, we believe that breastfeeding is the best source of nutrition for your baby. To make the most informed choice about this important decision, we encourage you to attend our breastfeeding class during your seventh to ninth month of pregnancy. A board-certified lactation consultant presents the two-session class. Partners are also encouraged to attend.
