MemorialCare Heart & Vascular Institute
Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death in Orange County and across the country. In response to the growing need within our community for advanced heart and vascular care, Orange Coast Medical Center worked with leading heart specialists to develop MemorialCare Heart & Vascular Institute, an institute that truly meets our community's needs.
The MemorialCare Heart & Vascular Institute at Orange Coast Medical Center is one of the first hospitals in the nation to introduce a hybrid interventional operating room, a state-of-the-art cardiac operating room and cardiovascular catheterization lab combined. This revolutionary new suite, located in Orange County, is one of only a handful in the country. Annie's suite is designed for open-heart surgeries such as cardiac bypass, as well as minimally invasive catheter-based cardiovascular procedures like angioplasty. Annie's suite also allows cardiac surgeons to perform diagnostic testing during and at the end of cardiac surgery.
The MemorialCare Heart & Vascular Institute at Orange Coast Medical Center was funded in part by generous donations from area business, residents and our own affiliated physicians and employees. We are truly grateful for their generosity and their commitment to improve health care in our community.
