Emergency Department Renovations at Community Medical Center Long Beach
Community Medical Center Long Beach is continuing to re-invest in its community with a $1.25 million renovation of its emergency department. This renovation will help improve patient care and safety, decrease wait times and increase the number of patients that can be seen.
Renovated areas include the 21 treatment bays, lobby, nurses’ and physicians’ workstations, as well as the addition of new examination and diagnostic equipment in the emergency department.
The renovations will be completed in four phases:
- Phase One: Emergency department lobby renovation – Completed
- Phase Two: Upgrades to nurses’ and physicians’ work stations to improve work flow and provide efficient professional care – Completed
- Phase Three: Refurbishments of the 21 treatment bays
- Phase Four: Installation of new patient monitoring system, as well as examination and diagnostic equipment
