Terry Chin, M.D., is a board-certified pediatrician with additional certifications in allergy and immunology. He currently serves as the director of Allergy/Immunology/Rheumatology and the assistant director of pediatric pulmonary at MemorialCare Miller Children's & Women's Hospital Long Beach. In addition to his hospital appointments, Dr. Chin also practices at pediatric the Pulmonary, Allergy and Cystic Fibrosis Center in Long Beach and Torrance. Specializing in pediatric pulmonary and allergy care, Dr. Chin's medical interests include asthma, allergic diseases of children, anaphylaxis and mastocytosis, cystic fibrosis and immunodeficiency. In addition to his practice history, Dr. Chin has also held teaching appointments at the University of California, Irvine and Loma Linda University Childrens Hospital. Dr. Chin received his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine and completed his postgraduate internship and residency training at the University of California, Irvine. His pediatric residency training was completed at the Childrens Hospital of Orange County, where he served as chief resident. Dr. Chin then completed a fellowship in pediatric allergy and immunology at the University of California, Los Angeles. He also received a Ph.D in Viral Immunology at Baylor. As an active participant in the medical community, Dr. Chin belongs to several professional organizations, including a Fellow of both the American College of Chest Physicians and the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, and is also a member of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, American Thoracic Society and the Western Society of Pediatric Research. He also is serving as a member of the Board of Trustees of Long Beach Medical Center and Miller Children's & Women's. In addition to treating patients and teaching medical students, residents, and fellows, Dr. Chin has over 100 publications covering a wide range of medical topics in immunology, asthma, allergy and pediatric pulmonary disorders such as cystic fibrosis. He has served in research review panels of several journals and national organizations.
