Dr. Steve Grant is a board-certified general surgeon who specializes in minimally invasive surgery. He serves as the Program Director of General Surgery at MemorialCare Long Beach Medical Center.
He completed his medical school training at Jefferson Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University, where he was elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha honor medical society. He returned to Southern California and completed a residency in general surgery at UCI Medical School followed by a fellowship in minimally invasive surgery at USC School for Medicine at LA County Medical Center. He is board-certified with the American Board of Surgery.
His clinical interests include colon disease (diverticulitis, diverticulosis, cancer), hernia disease (diaphragmatic, femoral, hiatal, inguinal, spigelian, umbilical, ventral), GERD, breast tumors (benign, malignant), liver and bile duct services, achalasia (Heller myotomy) and gastrointestinal procedures.
Dr. Grant is a fellow with the American College of Surgeons and member of the Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES), Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons, American Medical Association, and the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society.
