Dr. Prakobwanakit joined Newport Family Medicine in the summer of 2015. She was born in Southern California, grew up nearby in Irvine, CA, and attended University High School. She then went to UCLA for her undergraduate degree and completed her Masters in Public Health at UCLA in the department of Community Health Sciences. (Go Bruins!) She graduated from Medical School at UCI, where she was very active and served as Co-President of the Family Medicine Interest Group and was the Community Health Services chair of the Asian Pacific American Medical Student Association. She completed her Family Medicine residency at Long Beach Memorial Center, where she was Chief Resident during her final year there.
She is thrilled to join this practice, and is eager to become a primary care physician for patients of all ages. Her goal is to provide compassionate and high quality care to her patients to promote health and wellness. From celebrating health goals to persevering through tough times, she hopes to be there for her patients through it all.
During her free time she enjoys traveling, scrapbooking, cross stitching, hiking, and going to Disneyland!
