About Me
I have been in full-time clinical practice since 1982. My special interests are newborn surgery and minimally invasive surgery, including laparoscopic and thoracoscopic procedures. These are routinely used for many procedures including: gallbladder removal, appendectomy and thoracic cyst removals.
The operating scope can significantly shorten operating time, hospital stay and recovery time. Neonatal procedures have covered the full spectrum including major vascular procedures and the separation of conjoined twins. To most effectively meet the needs of the diverse population of greater Los Angeles, my practice is multi-lingual and multicultural.
I am the current chief of pediatric surgery at MemorialCare Long Beach Medical Center and assistant professor of surgery at Charles Drew University School of Medicine and Science and at the University of California, Irvine.
