Overview

“Welcome Baby Study”

The purpose of this study is to determine, using a randomized control trial, if participation in the Welcome Baby program leads to changes in client outcomes. The Welcome Baby program helps mothers in the hospital after their baby is born. Mothers who participate in the program get free home visits from parent coaches to help support them. Parent coaches share parenting information and community resources, answer questions, and check up on moms to see how they're doing. The program lasts 9 months. The purpose of this study is to learn more about Welcome Baby and how it helps mothers and their babies. If the study shows that Welcome Baby works, the program could be offered to more mothers in the future.
