“I knew I wanted to be a physician from a very young age; in fact, my little brother was my very first ‘patient.’ I’ve always had an interest in preventive medicine and promoting optimal health. Internal Medicine gives me the opportunity to develop long-term relationships with my patients and care for the whole person.”
Prior to entering medical school, Dr. Dugan earned his bachelor’s degree with Distinction in Integrated Biology from the University of California at Berkeley. He then spent some time as Editor of New Medicine magazine, exploring results for new pharmaceuticals, clinical protocols, and analyzing oncology research. Dr. Dugan also earned a Master’s of Business Administration from UCI Merage School of Business at the same time he was completing his medical degree. He is an author or co-author of several published medical papers and presentations.
When not in the office, Dr. Dugan enjoys spending time at the beach with his wife and baby. He also likes to surf, play volleyball, read, and indulge (occasionally) in ice cream.
