Peter R. Kurzweil, MD

Dr. Peter Kurzweil is an orthopedic surgeon at Memorial Orthopedic Surgical Group. Dr. Kurzweil is the former Chairman of Orthopedics at Long Beach Memorial.

Dr. Kurzweil has given numerous national and international presentations on meniscus repair, ACL reconstruction, and articular cartilage reconstruction. He is on the Board of Directors Arthroscopy Association of North America, as well as the Team Orthopedic Surgeon for Cal State University Long Beach.

Dr. Kurzweil received his medical degree from University of Rochester and completed his postgraduate residency training at New York Orthopedic Hospital. He completed a fellowship in orthopedics at the Southern California Center for Sports Medicine.

Dr. Kurzweil is married and resides in Newport Beach. In his time away from the hospital, he enjoys playing tennis, spinning, skiing and watching movies.
