According to Sepsis Alliance, sepsis kills 258,000 Americans every year. Sepsis is the body's overwhelming and life-threatening response to infection which can lead to tissue damage, organ failure, and death. Vice Chairman of the Emergency Department, Tuan Nguyen, M.D., and Clinical Quality Analyst, Jennifer Castro, MSN, RN, will explain the symptoms, stages and prevention of sepsis. Registration is required. Registered guests will receive a Zoom link via email at least two hours before the class start time.
