Healthcare innovation is changing the health care landscape on a daily basis, driven by disruptive thinking across the country. Nurses and other healthcare workers require new tools to work more effectively and efficiently, as innovative solutions are constantly being sought to improve patient outcomes while managing costs. By building a foundation of innovation in nursing, we pave the way for growth and progression within the profession, while elevating creativity in coming up with unique solutions to problems and issues. This year's 11th Annual Nursing Research Conference will focus on this theme - INNOVATION Based Practice (IBP): Finding Creative and Scientific Solutions.
Conference speakers, from academia, business, and clinical settings, will aim to open important discussions on the role of nurses in stimulating and diffusing clinical innovation in health care by influencing quality, safety, and patient outcomes. Health industry innovators will lead this novel workshop as they introduce nurse-led innovations that have led to improvements in professional practice and patient care during this historic period of turbulence and change in healthcare. Using this expert knowledge, attendees will experience a 'hands-on' workshop to have a better understanding of the importance of innovative ideas that may influence changes in professional practice and patient care. Conference presentations will also highlight research that focuses on the challenges for transforming nursing care worldwide.
The conference also offers attendees the opportunity to view many scientific posters, and to interact with healthcare industry partners, who offer the latest in clinical technology, equipment, and solutions to provide clinical care to our patients.
After attending this conference, the attendee will be able to:
- Generate innovative scientific thinking that may lead to improvements in professional practice and patient care.
- State the role of the nurse in stimulating and diffusing clinical innovation in health care by influencing quality, safety, and patient outcomes.
- Begin to develop a foundation of creativity and innovation in nursing in order to pave the way for growth and progression from concept to prototype.
