MemorialCare is the Official Healthcare Partner of Angels Baseball. MemorialCare and Angels Baseball each share a commitment to promote, improve and preserve health, strength, fitness, mobility and healthy living in the communities we serve. The multi-year partnership focuses on positively impacting the health and wellness of Angels fans and the larger Orange County and Los Angeles County communities by raising awareness of health issues.
September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Angels Baseball joins MemorialCare to Raise Awareness and Spread Hope.
Each year, more than 11,000 children in the U.S. under 15 are diagnosed with cancer. More than 90,000 children will lose their lives to cancer this year. The Jonathan Jaques Children’s Cancer Institute at MemorialCare Miller Children’s & Women’s Hospital Long Beach provides quality, compassionate care to children and teens with cancer, sickle cell disease and other serious blood disorders. Our doctors integrate new research efforts into treatment plans that allow patients diagnosed with cancer and serious blood diseases access to the latest therapies, technologies and procedures.
Thank you to Angels Baseball. Your support funds the important work being done at Jonathan Jaques Children’s Cancer Institute to improve access to clinical research and enhance the overall health of children including the mind, body and spirit.
Flames of Hope Project
The Flames of Hope Project represents our community’s united hope for a cure for childhood cancer. Cancer effects many children and their families, in fact it’s the leading cause of disease related death among children and adolescents. During Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and beyond, your participation in the Flames of Hope Project helps to spark awareness.
