Ryan Olsen Brings Executive Experience in Orange & Los Angeles Counties
Ryan Olsen, well-known figure in health care management who has served in executive posts at prominent Orange and Los Angeles County hospitals, is the new Chief Operating Officer at MemorialCare Saddleback Medical Center in Laguna Hills. He replaces Cheryl Jacob who retired in January after 37 years with MemorialCare in various leadership positions.
Prior to his new position, Olsen served since 2015 as Chief Operating Officer and Senior Vice President at Cedars Sinai Kerlan-Jobe Institute, a world leader in orthopedic and sports medicine known for serving as team physicians and consultants to professional sports teams.
He previously was Vice President of Operations for St. Jude Medical Center Fullerton; a Chief Administrative Officer at UC Irvine Health; and a Manager at Cedars Sinai Oschin Cancer Institute.

Olsen received his MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management, master's degree from UCLA Fielding School of Public Health where he serves as a lecturer and preceptor and bachelor's degree from University of California, San Diego. He completed an internship and fellowship at VA Greater Los Angeles Health Care System. Olsen and his wife, Stephanie, and their three children live in Ladera Ranch.
