MemorialCare Long Beach Medical Center, MemorialCare Miller Children’s & Women’s Hospital Long Beach and MemorialCare Community Medical Center Long Beach, announced that more than 100 of its physicians have been recognized among the best in their fields by the 2018 Southern California Super Doctors report.
The 2018 Southern California Super Doctors report recognizes the top five percent of active doctors in Los Angeles and Orange counties with three lists: Super Doctors 2018, Super Doctors Rising Stars and Super Doctors Hall of Fame. The selection process relies on 10 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement, surveying physicians in Southern California and ensuring the physicians named are the most respected and talented in their fields.
“Our physicians are continuously recognized for their outstanding work, medical breakthroughs and quality care that they provide for our patients,” says Graham Tse, M.D., associate chief medical officer, Miller Children’s & Women’s. “Our patients are our priority, the Super Doctor’s Report reaffirms that they are under the care of the best team of doctors in the area.”
The Super Doctors peer review selection process asks doctors to nominate fellow physicians by answering the question, “If you needed medical care, which doctor would you choose?” In addition, candidates were evaluated based on professional achievement, as well as the Super Doctors’ ‘blue ribbon panel review’ process, where physicians in more than 30 specialties evaluate the list of nominees.
“We are overjoyed to work alongside so many accomplished physicians who strive to improve the lives of our patients, their families and the community,” James Wells, M.D., interim chief medical officer, Long Beach Medical Center.
