Tracy and George Cardenas were thrilled to hear they would be having triplets. But complications ensued. During her sixth month of pregnancy, Tracy traveled from her Orange County home to Miller Children’s Hospital in Long Beach where she was under the care of physicians and staff specializing in high-risk births. Before Thanksgiving 2005, at 31 weeks, Sadie, Andie and Jonah were born — each under 3 pounds.

The triplets were cared for in Miller Children’s renowned Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), the largest in L.A. and Orange Counties, where experts work with high-risk mothers throughout their pregnancies to ensure best results.

The beautiful triplets were home for the holidays, thanks to Miller Children’s. “Sadie, Jonah and Andie were our best Christmas gifts ever,” Tracy said.
