Robotic-Assisted Cardiac Tumor (Atrial Myxoma) Removal

Service:

Atrial myxoma is a common type of benign cardiac tumor that forms inside the heart cavity, most commonly in the left atrium. Robotic-assisted cardiac tumor removal with the da Vinci® Si Surgical System is performed to remove atrial myxoma from the heart.

Innovative advancements in surgical techniques have allowed this surgery to be performed with the heart still beating and without separating the breastbone (sternum) and ribcage. Robotic-assisted surgery is performed with the da Vinci® Si Surgical System, a robotic computer technology.
